Settlement Raid is a new mode featured in Actraiser Renaissance, a tower-defense-style event that occurs in Sim Mode. Settlement Raids occur during both during the story (and are necessary to complete) and at random intervals during Sim Mode (including after an area has been otherwise cleared of Monster Lairs and the storyline completed). Successfully completing a Settlement Raid awards Legendary Chronicles for the resident hero of that realm.
Fortifications are vital to surviving Settlement Raids, as is careful placement and movement of Heroes. Also, the objectives of a Raid are important to understand, as sometimes a raid can be finished by killing a singular boss monster, regardless of the amount of enemies still on the field. This is also important for defense, as some raids have loss conditions such as the defeat of the resident Hero, or the loss of all farms and/or workshops, and so the Master must change strategies accordingly.
